Lower Face Exercises

Do these lower face exercises every day, but don't over-doing it. You won't get any additional benefit for going overboard. Follow the recommended instructions for each:

To Improve Your Mouth and Chin Area

  1. Pouting Lips - While sitting up, purse your lips together, then lift them towards your nose. Keep this for a count of 5 and then relax. Repeat this 5 times.

  2. Puckering Lips - Again, sitting up, pucker your lips, seeing how close you can bring the sides of your mouth together. Hold for a count of 5 and relax. Repeat 5 times.

  3. Smile and Kiss - Make a smile, but keep your lips closed and your teeth together. You should smile as widely as you can. Then, relax and bring your lips back to normal. Repeat 5 times.

  4. Inward Lips - Make your lips form a relaxed kiss shape, then draw them inward into your mouth and across your teeth. Hold this for a count of 10. Repeat 5 times.

To Improve Your Cheek Area

  1. Sucking In - With a relaxed smile and your lips closed, suck in your cheeks between your teeth. Hold for 10 counts, then relax. Repeat 10 times.
  2. Lip to Nose - You might do this better looking in a mirror. Pout your top lip upwards while moving your cheeks towards your eyes. If possible, touch your upper lip to your nose. Hold for 10 and repeat this 5 times
  3. Right and Left - With teeth and lips closed, gently blow forward, then to each side. Allow the exhale to open your lips slightly. You may need too moisten your lips to do this correctly. Alternate from side to side slowly and 10 times.

As you can tell, these lower face exercises don't take much time, so you can do them every day. They will improve the circulation to your cheek, mouth and chin areas, helping keep your skin nourished and moist.
